Wiesbaden, April 19, 2018 - The Wiesbaden-based company BLUEEND AG has released a new version of the XELOS Social Workplace. XELOS 7.1 is a minor release that offers users numerous new features. "We are constantly developing our modular software further. Companies can use them for social intranets to optimize collaboration between employees, teams and customers. Our solution simplifies and accelerates processes," says Dr. Daniel B. Wilhelm, CEO of BLUEEND AG.

New in XELOS 7.1 is a personal workspace. Employees create and edit their own documents there without their colleagues being able to see them. Thus first drafts develop in all peace. The documents can then be edited and optimized in the team as usual. Employees can also access the personal work area to store documents while on the move. In addition, system-wide templates can now be stored. With just a few clicks, employees can create letters, presentations or offers that correspond to the corporate design. The new calendar enables the management of conference rooms, vehicle fleets or other resources. The new XELOS version shows in different graphical representations when which employee uses which resources. In XELOS 7.1, responsibilities can be defined for workflows. For example, you can set up the human resources department to be responsible for travel expenses and the marketing department for social media. The respective departments may only use or edit their workflows.

Also in the background of XELOS 7.1 a lot has changed. "We're constantly optimizing our code. This means that our customers always use stable, powerful and secure software that is state of the art," says Dr. Wilhelm. Compared to XELOS 7.0, which was released in September 2017, the new version is more than twenty percent faster due to the code improvements. Companies that need to search large amounts of data will benefit from the new Elastic Search support that has left beta status. The new System Health page shows at a glance where problems could occur or have occurred, for example, if the disk space on the hard disk is soon insufficient.
